Varijashree was widely recognised as a child prodigy who began performing Carnatic concerts at the age of 4. Coming from a rich background of Classical Indian music, Varijashree is a pioneering artist in applying the techniques, fundamentals, and the sound & soul of Indian singing in the global music context. Varijashree is also a flautist, composer, a song writer, and a music educator. She has collaborated with notable music personalities such as Bobby McFerrin, Victor Wooten,, Michael League & Snarky Puppy, Ricky Kej, and more. Her eponymous original music album, ‘VARI’, set for release in May 2024, produced by Grammy winning artist Michael League of Snarky Puppy is a conjunction of Indian music and global music presented on the sonic platter of Indian classical and folk percussion.
Aman Mahajan
Aman Mahajan is a musical voyager, delving into the world of improvised music as a means of expression and exchange. His work draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of traditional and contemporary forms, often from beyond the realms of music. Mahajan's 2019 solo piano endeavour, ‘REFUGE’ is themed around explorations of the concept of home, paying homage to inward journeys. His collaborations include Tinctures with Berlin-based guitarist Nishad Pandey, Bangalore Blues with jazz vocalist Radha Thomas, and the cross-cultural trio Mystik Vibes with percussionist Muthu Kumar and flautist Amith Nadig. Active internationally, Aman has had the privilege to play at world-renowned venues and festivals.
