The Raghu Dixit Project

The Raghu Dixit Project is one the pioneering independent contemporary folk music bands in India, proudly representing modern India and its traditional culture of literature, philosophy and spirituality. Described by The Guardian as India’s biggest cultural export, their music is the truest representation of what India is today. At the core it holds on to the rich culture of Indian folk and ethnic music, poetry of the saints, philosophical and spiritual great minds of India. They are known for their most original compositions and musical style which represent many musical cultures from all around the world to bring about a unique fusion of world cultures and philosophies. With over 2000 concerts around the world, they have performed in 36 countries so far and at some of the biggest world music festivals like Glastonbury, Rain Forest Music Festival, Cambridge Folk Music Festival etc.
